Freshly revealing, bright and beautiful... Rebecca’s songs will stir your heart.
Her deftly exquisite arrangements of voice and acoustic guitar, and graceful, grounded performances captivate her audiences and weave connections among people.
Growing up in the public eye (winning her first national award at the age of 18), Rebecca's artful songwriting and authentically Australian vocal tones have been inspired by and compared with Indigo Girls, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Judy Small, Penelope Swale, Dar Williams and Gillian Welch. A heady mix of strong, yet gentle women, whose lineage Rebecca is proud to carry forward. |
Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Rebecca has played at many folk festivals throughout Australia, including the internationally renowned Woodford, National and Port Fairy Folk Festivals. She has opened for James Keelaghan (Can), Kristina Olsen (USA), Roy Bailey (UK), The Flood, Jodi Martin and Floyd Vincent & The Childbrides.
In February 2006, Rebecca launched her much-anticipated and gorgeously intimate debut album 'All I See'. On this recording she is joined by some of the Coast’s finest musicians - including Steve Cook (Tulca mór); Gary Ward; Jay Bishoff; Geo Heathcote and Alan Kelly, Erin Sulman and Belinda Ford (The Barleyshakes)- and the result is truly magic. |
